Pithoragarh, May 17 (ANI): A leopard died during a rescue operation after being stranded for nearly 12 hours in Pambhe village in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district. A villager spotted the wild cat in the wee hours of Monday struggling in between the shrubs. Thereafter, the villager called the forest officials, who tranquilised the leopard to rescue it but the exhausted animal gave its way.
