Donald Trump Badly Needs 'Huge' Win in New Hampshire

These are critical days for Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner for president.

Trump needs a solid victory in New Hampshire to prove that all these many months of Trump-Mania weren't a manic dream. Recent polls show Trump's lead in New Hampshire, and nationally, is slipping, as both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz gain ground.

"Cruz's victory in Iowa has put the burden right back onto Trump," David Wasserman of the Cook Political Report said in a phone interview from Manchester. "He needs to win in New Hampshire to prove that his poll numbers are real."

Tonight, Trump will face off against six of his seven remaining opponents in the Republican primary -- Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Cruz, John Kasich, and Rubio (Carly Fiorina will not be attending) -- in the final debate before voters in New Hampshire go to the polls on Tuesday. In deciding to skip the final debate before the Iowa caucus may have cost Trump a victory there, he has admitted.
