Challenge a friend to spend a 20 cent coin through a piece of paper with a hole of 5 cents in it ... not tear the paper! When frustration reached a satisfactory level, show them how. This trick using a United Kingdom 2 pence and 10 pence piece that works equally well shown.
Coin Trick Ripper
Square of paper is shown with the hole cut to the size of small change.
1. Cut a square piece of paper. Trace the outline of a nickel and carefully cut the circle.
It will be obvious to a victim of the 20 cent coin it is much larger than the holes 5 cents, but let try before proceeding.
The paper is folded in half and placed large coin inside.
2. Fold the paper in half and place the 20 cent coin in the hole.
The paper is folded as shown to allow the largest coin to pass through the hole in the paper.
3. Fold the paper as it pushing the ends of the folded paper and the other part will fall into the hole without tearing the paper.
