BALTIMORE, MARYLAND — A series of pictures showing the aftermath of a homicide was part of a virtual tour of Baltimore on Bing’s Streetside mapping service until Tuesday.

The images were first reported on by Baltimore Sun crime reporter Justin Fenton. They show a man lying in the street with police standing around him.

The victim was 24-year-old Ricky Chambers Jr. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police found Chambers shortly after he was shot at Pennington Avenue and Hazel Street on April 29, 2015.

Baltimore police spokesman T.J. Smith told the Baltimore Sun they are still investigating Chambers’ death.

Bing’s imaging vehicle did not capture the moment of the shooting. It drove by right after Chambers was shot.

The images could still be seen on Bing’s mapping service on Monday, when Microsoft released a statement explaining it was in the process of taking them down.

By Tuesday, Bing had updated the images with a large box covering where the victim was lying on the street.
