This playthrough shows the locations of every single easter egg, collectible, and secret in the demo. Nothing was skipped (aside from three crystals that are too bothersome to get to and don't actually unlock anything)
Each crystal is worth one crystal, the big ones are worth 10, getting hurt by an enemy causes you to lose a crystal, killing an enemy gains a crystal. The crystals are required for unlocking some of the extra side stuff.
Bronze Plates: 25 Crystals required to unlock
Silver Plates: 100 Crystals required to unlock
Gold Plates: 250 Crystals required to unlock
Platinum Plates: Defeat the final boss to unlock
Warp Jumps: Carbuncle gives you this ability after two minutes into the boss fight. You can still do minimal warps prior to this but can't climb the castle until getting the full ability from Carbuncle. If you kill the boss too quickly, just re-do the boss fight and whatever time was left counts down until he gives you the full ability. (Though keep in mind it doesn't really matter before your first victory because the platinum plates on the top balcony don't unlock until the boss is beat once anyway)
It is possible to miss certain scenes and collectibles if you get hit too many times by enemies or miss certain crystals before moving on to the next dream. There are two bronze plates that trigger scenes in the first dream. Faster car plates, a sword upgrade, and a hidden gold item in the second dream. A hammer upgrade, a story time button about soccer balls, and an easter egg involving the day night cycle in the third dream. Finally, the fourth dream only has two secret platinum plates that grant you a shield and shurikens on the upper balcony of the citadel once you defeat the boss once.
There are plenty of easter eggs in this demo, all of which i'll cover in a later video.
Can't confirm yet but apparently playing through this demo before playing the main game gives you some extra stuff.
