ADNAN OKTAR: Elephant symbolism is used in Rumi's book Masnavi as well. I have mentioned this before. "They wanted to bring an elephant to a dark stable to display it to people. Numerous men gathered in that dark building to see the animal; but the stable was so dark, it was impossible to see anything. They tried to perceive what kind of animal the elephant was by touching it." This talks about the British deep state. In other words, this is a parable describing the deep state's structure. "One got a hold of its trunk and said, "It resembles a spout." Another grabbed its ear and said, "It resembles a fan." The one holding its leg said, "It resembles a pole." The one caressing its back said, "It is like a throne." Everyone set out to define the elephant by the part they touched, by how they perceived it. Their perceptions contradicted each other's words. One of them called it 'thin', the other 'slender'; if they all had been holding a candle, there would have been no disagreement. Therefore, none of them could perceive it since none of them had seen it," writes Mawlana. "But it turned out to be immensely strong," he says. This is the characteristic of deep states. In other words, the deep state carries out cell activities and people only partially see them. But since people are unable to see the main structure, it remains hidden.
