Steve Polston and his family thought someone was breaking into their house in the Mount Pleasant area of Charleston, but discovered a nine-foot alligator had climbed onto their porch.
A Department of Natural Resources contractor, who filmed this footage, told the homeowner that the behavior was unusual and that the gator had climbed a set of stairs and come in through a porch door.
