Ray Tomlinson, the creator of e mail, died of an heart attack

The US computer programmer Ray Tomlinson, who came up with the idea of electronic messages died of an apparent heart attack on Saturday. His work was recognised by his peers in 2012, when he was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame.
