yler Jones passed for a school-record 475 yards and a career-high five touchdowns and Texas State beat Incarnate Word 48-17 Saturday night.
The Bobcats (2-2) were outscored 106-6 in their two previous games against then-No. 24 Arkansas and No. 6 Houston, but totaled 670 yards offense against the Cardinals (1-4), including a school-record 540 yards passing.
The Cardinals led on Broderick Reeves' 47-yard run in the opening quarter but Jones then threw scoring passes of 11 yards to Gabe Schrade, 44 to Thurman Morbley and 16 to Eric Luna for a 21-10 halftime lead.
