A new 3D printer can make objects longer than itself.The Blackbelt 3D Printer uses a conveyor belt to print complex, extremely long items. The actual belt has a maximum print width and height of over 13 inches, but it can print objects over 50 inches long with additional support. The belt’s surface can also be reused instantly, which means the machine can print continuously until the filament is empty. The company launched a Kickstarter to help with costs.
