The G20 was first held in 2008, and is one of the most important global forums for international economic cooperation and coordination. Germany has chosen "Shaping an interconnected world" as the theme for this week's summit. The G20, short for "Group of 20", is made up of 19 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States, plus the European Union. This year, Spain, Norway, Holland, Singapore, Guinea, Senegal, and Vietnam will attend as guest countries. This year all eyes will be on the first meeting between President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
