Extended highlights of AC Milan's young centre back Stefan Simic performances in the 2017 u21 European Championships for Czech Republic.
Simic played every minute of all three group games as Czech made a first round exit and was arguably his countries star man. His performance against highly rated Atalanta striker Andrea Petagna was perhaps his most impressive as Czech surprised the Italians 3-1.
Simic is currently participating in Milan's preseason with the first team squad after returning from loan at Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz in the Belgian 1st Divison. Simić began his career in Slavia Prague's youth ranks at just 6 years old. After impressing consistently throughout his development he became the youngest player ever to sign a professional contract with the club, at just 15 years old. He made his (uncompetitive) debut in February of 2011. In 2012 he was scouted into the youth ranks of Genoa. After a year and a half he went on to join Milan, and was a key member of the squad that won the Torneo di Viareggio in 2014.
Since then he has been on loan to Varese, participated in the squad as a reserve player and most recently played in the Belgian first division. With the recent additions of Bonucci and Musacchio it does not look as if he will participate in Milans XI in the near future, but he does appear a good prospect nonetheless.
