This marvelous recording of a flamenco party (Juerga Gitana) taken with a cell phone there, shows what happens when “duende” (the feeling) and the real flamenco impetus impregnate the atmosphere and music just flows in that cheerful mood. Feeling and the emotion of “remates” are the actual essence of flamenco (almost lost today for reasons too long to include here)
This “Aire” or mood , its only seen on this kind of performances which take place occasionally at gypsy marriages or similar celebrations by the gypsy community, I myself –like Paco- learned this whole art playing in those parties held mostly late at night…
Today, thanks to technology, we can see it on video but this kind of performances generally were only allowed for pure gypsies to witness. Fortunately this time I was able to add three elaborated guitars which constantly answer to each other interacting as this music has to be played according to what I learned from Paco de Lucia, indeed this arrangement is based and played in the very same spirit Paco de Lucia played with Camaron de la Isla in several albums live “Vivire” , “Calle Real” etc.
