According to reports, NASA Administrator Robert Lightfoot will retire at the end of April.
The news surfaced after reporters received a memo from a space policy analyst.
Lightfoot has served as the Acting Administrator of NASA since the beginning of President Donald Trump's presidency, succeeding Charles Bolden, who was appointed during the Obama administration.
