Representative Joseph Crowley of New York dedicated a performance of Bruce Springsteen’s hit Born to Run to his opponent, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, after his surprise primary defeat on Tuesday, June 26.
Crowley was defeated in New York’s 14th Congressional District by Ocasio-Cortez, a political newcomer and former organizer for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign.
