Part of the five-shoe collection themed after the fictitious top-secret facility in Houston, Texas, Area 72, Hypebeast presents the reiteration of the Nike Barkley Posite Max -- a mash-up of the Max2 CB 94 and the Foamposite sneaker. Fans of the recent 'Galaxy' colorways may not be particularity drawn to this bold design as it is in no way subtle in highlighting cues from space, but being noticed is not always a bad thing. Aiding in the shoe's visibility are a number of design elements including a 3M-like black upper, custom 'Area 72' wrapping newspaper, galaxy lining, large florescent 'Raygun' and 'CB' rubber logos, and a 3M flight tag. Nike has also included features to the shoe found in past renditions such as a metallic 'swoosh' logo and a speckled glow-in-the-dark sole that reads "Not A Role Model." In our latest edition of PREVIEWS, we show how this shoe looks under normal lighting and while fluorescing under black light -- the latter option doing true justice to the unique colorway.
