In July, Build-A-Bear's "Pay Your Age Day" celebration ended early in chaos. However, the deal was ultimately a success for the chain. Sales boosted more than executives anticipated.
Business Insider says Build-A-Bear reported consolidated net retail sales had increased 6.1%.
"Pay Your Age Day" was supposed to allow customers to pay only the amount of their age for a stuffed. However, before the day was half over, Build-A-Bear had closed its doors, "crowds and safety concerns.
