According to CNN, the government shutdown has been going on for over 14 days. As a result of this shutdown, many Americans, including those with government jobs are being negatively affected. For example, one NASA contractor says she isn't going to get paid for her time out of work Linda Walker is a NASA contractor at John C. Stennis Space Center in south Mississippi and she says she is being furloughed due to the shutdown.
