So I'm an airline pilot here in Canada and, naturally, travel is in my blood. My girlfriend is an engineer and wanderer at heart and (in addition to her own adventures) has followed my around the world as my partner in crime!
In the fall of 2017, we took an unforgettable trip to Iceland. It was a dream vacation for the both of us offering beautiful photography for her and a boyhood dream right out of National Geographic for me. We spent our time living out of a tiny camper van, eating canned spaghetti and Icelandic vodka and soaking up the amazing scenery. It was our ideal vacation!
Just a few months before, I had gone to a jewelry store with my late grandmother's diamond and custom-made the perfect ring for her! The name 'Rose' had been in her family for generations AND her favourite show happened to be "The Bachelor", so I decided to design a beautiful rose-themed ring and give her the perfect "Bachelor" proposal of her dreams!
A few months later, on the rocky cliffs of Iceland, I had the ring in my pocket, a perfect sunset, and the perfect girl - here's how it played out!
