India News: India reacted furiously to Thursday's death in a Pakistani jail of convicted spy Sarabjit Singh, who was badly beaten last week by fellow inmates, the latest incident to strain relations between the neighbours.
"Sarabjit's death is the failure of the Indian government. Now, the lives of other Indians languishing in jails of Pakistan are also in danger," he said.
He said the attack on Sarabjit was the handiwork of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), which might also target other Indian prisoners, added Surjit, who also spent some time with Sarabjit in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail.
Learning a lesson from the Sarabjit case, the Indian government should take concrete steps to ensure the safety of other Indians in Pakistani jails.
