Terror Attack: The deadly cross-border attack on Indian troops in Jammu & Kashmir, in which five soldiers were killed, has led to a fresh escalation of tension between India and Pakistan.
The Indian administration, which is under pressure to take a tough stance on the matter, has come under criticism from opposition parties over a statement made by Defence Minister A K Antony on the killings. They alleged that the statement - which said "20 heavily armed terrorists along with persons dressed in Pakistani army uniforms" had staged the ambush - was "an attempt to let off Pakistan," a charge denied by India's External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.
