Several CMs -- nine or ten at the last count -- are "strongly" opposing the NCTC stating that "the states were not consulted" and that "NCTC impacts the federal structure" as provided in the Constitution. West Bengal, Tripura, Gujarat, Odisha, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Karnataka are not for NCTC.
