ADG Arun Kumar said that service revolver was not used in the DSP's murder. Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav gave 50 lakh rupees as compensation to the family members of the slain Deputy Superintendent of Police Zia Ul Haq in Pratapgarh district. This was after the state Cabinet Minister Raja Bhaiyya resigned after being booked for murdering the cop.
