Rahul Gandhi suddenly para trooped into a press conference and declaimed that the ordinance backed by his party and promulgated by his government must be torn up and scrapped because it was non-sensensical.
While Rahul distanced himself and the congress on moral ground from an ordinance that was roundly seen as expedient his intervention turned very quickly into a debate.
The BJP was first off the block with a direct question which was whether Rahul's intervention was the result of a conscience call or was it a desperate political call?
