Villagers in a remote area of southern China’s Guizhou province have been connected with the outside world through a cliffside tunnel carved in 2003. The journey provides dizzying views and requires drivers to pay close attention to avoid rolling into the nearby abyss, despite a 2014 upgrade that widened and paved the roadway with cement.
