Mets' Rajai Davis Arrives to
First Game Late, Hits Home Run The homer was in the 38-year-old
veteran's first at-bat with New York. His three-run dinger in the eighth inning highlighted
the Mets' 6-1 win over the Nationals. According to Davis, he found out that he had been called up from Triple-A two hours before the game started. He then took a two-hour Uber ride and didn't get to Citifield until the third inning. Five innings later, he blasted the homer. Davis, who owns a .262 career batting average,
is now with his eighth different pro squad.
