Thunder's Attempts to Trade
Chris Paul Are On Hold It is increasingly likely that Paul will start the
season in Oklahoma City, according to ESPN. The Thunder acquired Chris Paul
and two future first-round picks in a trade with the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook. Paul has three years and $124 million
remaining on his contract. Paul previously played in
Oklahoma City during the
2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, when New Orleans was relocated
due to Hurricane Katrina. With Paul and a roster that includes
Danilo Gallinari, Steven Adams, Dennis Schroder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,
the Thunder could have a competitive team
in 2019-2020.
