This is the spine-chilling moment a speeding car drives flies into a mosque, climbs a barrier wall and crashes to a halt.
The incident left the driver, two passengers and two people in the mosque injured, all of who are being treated at a hospital.
The incident occurred at Twaha Juma mosque at Pharangipet near Mangalore in southern India on October 22.
Bantwal police, who are probing the incident, said the car was owned by a local eye hospital and the driver was heading to Mangalore when the accident happened.
An eyewitness Ibrahim Sulaiman Noorudeen said: “It was time for afternoon prayers. The crowd was just building up. If the accident had happened a few minutes later, it would have been catastrophic.”
