Record-Setting Space Explosion Spotted by NASA's NICER Telescope

NASA’s NICER telescope caught the brightest x-ray burst it has seen to date, coming from a fast-spinning pulsar, or crushed remains of a star. The explosion released as much energy in 20 seconds as the sun releases in 10 days.
