Disney+ App Downloaded 3.2 Million Times on First Day Available.
The mobile app for iOS and Android hit 3.2 million downloads in its initial 24 hours, according to Apptopia.
89 percent of the downloads
came from U.S. users, while
9 percent came from Canada and
2 percent from the Netherlands.
In comparison, Netflix’s app was downloaded
662,000 times worldwide on Nov. 12.
The Disney+ app is currently No. 1 in
Apple’s App Store in both the U.S. and Canada.
Users spent a total of 1.3 million hours streaming
Disney+ on its first day, according to Apptopia.
Meanwhile, Netflix users spent 6 million hours streaming
in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands.
Disney+ is currently available for a free,
seven-day trial and will cost subscribers
$6.99 a month after the trial period
