Boris Johnson received a mixed reaction when he visited Wells town centre. During a walk around various locals cheered the prime minister and stopped to congratulate him, offering him their support in the upcoming general election. However, others called him a liar with one shouting "shame on you". Earlier in the day Mr Johnson had been scheduled to attend a bakery in Glastonbury but had to change his plans after Extinction Rebellion protesters gathered outside. Report by Thomasl.
