Israel to Require Quarantine
for All Entering the Country The 14-day quarantine was
announced by the country's
prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The quarantine is set
to begin on Thursday. Daniel Estrin, Reporter, via NPR News Israel's health minister,
Yaakov Litzman, called the move a "necessary step." Netanyahu spoke with
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence by
phone a day before the announcement. The Vice President's office
did not respond for comment. As of the beginning of the week,
40 cases of COVID-19 had been detected in Israel.
