폼페이오 "홍콩 이제 공산당치하 도시…특별지위박탈 계속 이행"
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has slammed China's decision to enact the national security law on Hong Kong,... calling Hong Kong just "another Communist-run city" now.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday,... Pompeo also reaffirmed Washington's decision to strip Hong Kong of the special economic status it had enjoyed under U.S. law.
"We will continue to implement President Trump's directive to end Hong Kong's special status. Other federal agencies are involved as well.
Pompeo said recent action by the Chinese government could be reversible,... but added at this point,... Beijing doesn't seem to be interested.
