Japan's longest serving Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has resigned over health concerns. He is been battling the disease, ulcerative colitis for years. Its reported Abe wanted to avoid causing problems for the government due to his worsening condition. Abe’s chronic digestive condition forced him to step down as premier in 2007. He later returned as Prime Minister in 2012.
