Health Ministry Dr Adham Baba told parliament today that the government spent RM2.8 million to provide smoking cessation or pharmacological treatment to 9,222 smokers last year.
He said the number showed an increase in expenditure compared to RM2 million spent in 2018 to treat 12,640 smokers.
