itne KHamosh bhi raha na karo
gham judai mein yun kiya na karo
KHwab hote hain dekhne ke liye
un mein ja kar magar raha na karo
kuchh na hoga gila bhi karne se
zalimon se gila kiya na karo
un se niklen hikayaten shayad
harf likh kar miTa diya na karo
apne rutbe ka kuchh lihaz 'munir'
yar sab ko bana liya na karo

اتنے خاموش بھی رہا نہ کرو
غم جدائی میں یوں کیا نہ کرو
خواب ہوتے ہیں دیکھنے کے لیے
ان میں جا کر مگر رہا نہ کرو
کچھ نہ ہوگا گلہ بھی کرنے سے
ظالموں سے گلہ کیا نہ کرو
ان سے نکلیں حکایتیں شاید
حرف لکھ کر مٹا دیا نہ کرو
اپنے رتبے کا کچھ لحاظ منیرؔ
یار سب کو بنا لیا نہ کرو

ग़म जुदाई में यूँ किया न करो
ख़्वाब होते हैं देखने के लिए
उन में जा कर मगर रहा न करो
कुछ न होगा गिला भी करने से
ज़ालिमों से गिला किया न करो
उन से निकलें हिकायतें शायद
हर्फ़ लिख कर मिटा दिया न करो
अपने रुत्बे का कुछ लिहाज़ 'मुनीर'
यार सब को बना लिया न करो
