BRIGHTON, MA -- Jayson Tatum spoke to the media following the team's practice on Sunday.
Tatum on leadership: "I lead in my own way. I'm not the most animated guy in front of the camera. I show up for work everyday. I put in extra work everyday. I earn my teammates and coaches trust by showing up and buying in everyday. I speak up in huddles..."
Jayson on captains at the NBA level: "I don't think it's gonna change anything. If I'm a captain or if I'm not, it's not like I'm gonna speak up anymore or less. I think everybody still gonna be themselves. We all respect each other and our opinions."
He talked about facing Kemba Walker in the opener: "Kemba's one of the best guys in the NBA. One of my favorite teammates I've had the pleasure of playing with. Still super close, still talk to him. I'm happy for him. Being back home playing in front of his family where he grew up."
