To see how the deadly second wave of the #coronavirus pandemic is devastating rural #UttarPradesh, one need only visit the #Gorakhpur District Hospital. There are so many patients here from surrounding villages that stretchers have had to be turned into beds. Most of them need oxygen but there isn't enough of it. Nor is there enough medical staff. Some attendants are so angry and disillusioned, they are taking their patients home rather than staying put.
