An international collaborative investigative effort has revealed that more than 50,000 people across the world were identified for targeted #surveillance using a sophisticated piece of spyware called #Pegasus. Developed by Israeli private company #NSO, Pegasus was reportedly used here in India as well.
At least 40 Indian journalists were targeted by Pegasus including freelance journalist Rohini Singh and deputy editor of the Hindu, Vijaita Singh.
