Eleven more people have lost their lives after testing positive for coronavirus, with the total now at more than 280 within the last 28 days.
As the towns infection rate continues to climb, opposition councillors say schools must be shut immediately to curb the spread before any more places at the dinner table are left empty this Christmas.
