1.17 Lakh fresh COVID-19 cases in India, 28% higher than yesterday

India reported 1,17,100 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, nearly 8 days after the country crossed the 10,000 mark, as the virus continued to spread at an unprecendented pace.
