The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has received 55 names of presidential aspirants intending to participate in the forthcoming elections. However, IEBC is yet to clear them as the commission raises the threshold for the independent candidates who have hit a record of 38, the highest in Kenya’s history. IEBC is now counting down the days before the official campaign period kicks off on 29th May.
