Three years ago, Fremantle City Football Club in WA was grappling with troubling rates of declining mental health within its girls' teams, leading to a crisis meeting between the club's leaders. From that meeting a mentorship program was born which has produced promising evidence of improved mental health and better on field results, and there are now plans to see it implemented across the state.
