Pakistan has a lot of Historical Places Hiran Minar is one of them. Hiran Minar’s “Deer Tomb” was constructed in the era of Mughal Emperor Jahangir and belonged to the best sites. It was built in a “hunting reserve” that was only for the “Mughal royals”. The hunting reserve was initially built in the forest consisting of small bushes. The reason is that Mughal emperors were fond of chasing nature games.
The hunting reserve provides the royals with an experience of semi-wilderness around the imperial city of Lahore. Thus, the place was initially used as a park by the visitors, and they enjoyed hunting sport.
Hiran Minar was constructed in 1606 C.E. as a landmark at the request of the Mughal emperor. He requested to build the tower and grave for his beloved pet, having the name “Mansiraj” (having the meaning of “lord of all animal beings”).
From history, it has come known that the emperor ordered to cover the Hiran where it was breathed for the last time, and a tower was assembled there, and later on, Hiran Minar knew it.
Soon after, it was accompanied by the pavilion constructed in the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
Hiran Minar is the novel concept and development of Mughal spots. Also, its structure is a beautiful piece of art that shows the affection of humans for pets.
Hiran Minar structure’s main characteristics are the complex tanks and its unique framework used for gathering the water. There are little square buildings and subsurface at every corner of the tank to supply the tank.
Hiran Minar’s architecture and structure consist of the following piece of art.
Minaret
The minaret is 110 meters tall and stands as a tomb marker of Mansiraj. Its sides are craved with a eulogy to pet deer “Mansiraj”.
Pool
There is a pool in the heart of Hiran Minar Complex. It is 229 x 273 meters large. There are brick ramps at the centre of each side of the pool. There slope downs toward the water providing access to the wild game sought by the hunters.
Pavilion
It was built in the era of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is at the centre of the pool. Its architecture is similar to the Sher Mandal located in Delhi Purana Qila, established by the emperor Humayun. A water tank and semi-wilderness surround it.
Causeway
It connects the pool and Minar through the axis and passes through a gateway.
