A barge operating in the Gulf of Paria capsized this morning while six people were on board.
The barge owned and operated by the Trinity Group of Companies, has since sunk to the ocean floor.
All of the employees were evacuated safely before the barge was fully submerged.
And the Ministry of Energy says a salvage and oil-spill mitigation operation is underway.
