"Adelina" - An illegal cigarette seller resorts to a long series of pregnancies to avoid being arrested. Prison will thus be avoided until an unexpected accident takes Adelina out of her state of perpetual gestation. But the generosity of the Neapolitan people will still manage to solve everything.
"Anna" - A rich Milanese lady begins an idyll with a man of modest means to try to escape from her arid world. However, a trivial accident will be enough for Anna to rekindle the spirit that will push her to abandon the man and return to her world.
"Mara" - Mara is a call girl with whom a young seminarian falls in love. Mara is also attracted to him; but when she realizes that the young man is about to abandon his studies for her, she convinces him to return to the seminary, while she returns to her life and her loves.
