As some areas have been facing flooding after three days of heavy rainfall, the Works and Transport Minister told the Parliament on Wednesday that his Ministry's desilting programmes for rivers and outlets across the country "have allowed for the necessary quick runoff of water."
And the Minister complemented an Opposition MP for pointing out that unplanned developments are contributing to severe flooding.
