The Public Utilities Minister says that "very early" in the new financial year a policy would be in place to allow citizens to get the requisite licences to "generate their own electricity via wind or solar".
In response to questions from our Political Editor Juhel Browne on Wednesday, the Minister said his Ministry has undertaken a comprehensive review of the licensing regime for electricity as consumers are bracing for higher electricity tariffs.
