National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds says with the many opportunities available to people in Trinidad and Tobago, it is not necessary for people to kill in order to get food.
Speaking to reporters during an anti-crime walk in La Brea today, the Minister said it is important that communities look inward and examine to what extent crime is home grown.
The Minister also gave an update on investigations into the Heights of Guanapo massacre of three children and a teenager earlier this week.
