The Cabinet has referred the report of the Commission of Enquiry into the Paria tragedy to the Director of Public Prosecutiions.
The announcement was made by the Energy Minister in the House of Representatives today in response to questions from the Opposition.
The Commission of Enquiry has recommended that the DPP consider charging State-owned Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited with quote, "what is commonly known as Corporate Manslaughter." UNQUOTE
